Abstract:

The subject of this dialogue is not the place in the meaning of the sense of the physical location of an Islamic work of art, but the aim is in order to understand this work of art's relationship with the space of the work, there are some subjects clarify the clear theme and the general ambiguity that are hidden in the concept of the Islamic work of art. The category of place, from the perspective of a Muslim architect, is a phenomenon that is certainly not without influence on the way of creating an Islamic work of art, especially in the field of Islamic architectural art where the artist deals with man and his sacred space in the widest possible form; Islamic artistic creation is not easily possible at a deep and original level.

Following the analysis of the Islamic work on this basis, the hypothesis in question is proposed with the following two questions:

1. Is there not always a process of explanation and expression in the essence and nature of an Islamic work of art?

2. Does this work have the power to create its own space and time and negate any sign in the place that does not belong to itself?

These questions make it important that the idea of an Islamic work of art constitutes the initial awareness in the mind and when it can be transformed into a meaningful idea, it can cause the experience of the place of this type of work in the material world. By examining the concept of place, this article aims to point out the type of place of the Islamic work of art as a container that houses something and also includes the subject itself, and to introduce the "unity" present in this work as an important factor that overcomes the spatial differences of the work and also subdues time, which is the movement that characterizes the work of art.

Key words: Islamic work of art, place, general and conceptual idea, unity.
