Abstract
Identification and promotion of the role of nature in the perception of contemporary homes

English Abstract

For the word home to have its true meaning, it must truly be a place of peace and comfort for humans. the One of the factors that lead to creating this feeling is the sense of belonging to a place. Although many components, including psychological issues, are effective in creating this feeling in people, this research seeks to identify and improve effective physical factors through feeling and perception.

This research is qualitative in nature and practical in purpose. The research method is qualitative content analysis. The method of collecting research data is library and field and the statistical population includes 50 architecture students in the open answer test. This research seeks to understand the lived experience of people and describe it in the same way that they are faced.

This study shows that the more connected residents of contemporary homes are to nature, the more effective it will be in creating a sense of belonging in them. In this regard, effective physical elements related to natural factors have been introduced and solutions have been proposed to increase this sensory richness.

Therefore, with all the shortcomings of contemporary homes, nature still plays a major role in the positive sensory perception of the home. This perception can be inside the home, which is more fully tangible and can be experienced with all the senses, or it can be outside the home, creating the ability to communicate visually, aurally, and olfactoryly.
